Why do I have to register?
BNP Media asks that visitors complete a simple registration form in order to access certain sections and features online.

How do I register?
When you click on certain articles and features on a BNP Media website, you will be asked to fill out an online form.

How do I activate my registration?
Once you have completed the registration form on a BNP Media website, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from us. When you receive that email, simply click on the web link you'll see in the email we sent to the email account you used to register with. If you can't click on the web link, copy and paste the entire link into your browser.

Why do I have to activate my registration?
We do this as a security precaution, to ensure that no one can sign up someone else.

How do I log in?
Simply click on the "log in" link on a BNP Media home page. If your browser accepts cookies, and you selected "Remember me on this computer," you should not have to log in upon returning to the website.

Will I have to log in every time I visit a BNP Media website?
No, as long as your browser will accept cookies, you will not have to log in when you return to a BNP Media website. Make sure you have checked the "Remember me on this computer" check box in the registration form so that you will not be asked to log in next time.

What is a cookie?
Some Web sites store information in a small text file on your computer. This file is called a cookie.

Why do you use cookies?
We use cookies to keep you from having to log in to a BNP Media website every time you visit. We recommend you configure your browser to accept cookies to maximize your use of the website.

How do I make sure my browser is accepting cookies?

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Open your Internet Explorer and select the "Tools" pull-down menu. Select "Internet Options" from the bottom of the box.
Click on the "Privacy" tab and then the "Advanced" button.
Make sure "Accept" is checked under Third-party cookies.
Press "OK" until you return to your browser.

If you are using Netscape Navigator:
Open Netscape Navigator and select the "Edit" pull-down menu.
Select "Preferences" then click "Advanced".
At the bottom of the box, in the section marked "Cookies", click "Accept all Cookies".
Press "OK" to be returned to your browser.

After I try to register, I don’t get the activation e-mail.
This could be occurring for several reasons:
  • You are not logged in with the same e-mail address you typed into the request form, so you don’t receive the e-mail in your inbox.
  • You may have typed the e-mail address incorrectly in the form.
  • The e-mail address from which this is sent is halldata.com. Check to see if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) has spam filters set up to block this particular e-mail address. Additionally, check your inbox for any junk filter folders. Some mail applications have junk filter settings in place and direct suspect mail into a "junk mail" subfolder.
